Xiaomi set to make an official launch in Pakistan

LAHORE – Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has now given official approval to Xiaomi, a privately owned Chinese electronics company, to enter the Pakistani mobile market.

Before PTA legalized Xiaomi smartphones in Pakistan, it was said that the brand had failed to fulfill all the legal requirements that are imposed on all mobile phone companies. Now the smartphone brand has agreed to all the requirements of PTA.

Xiaomi is the fourth largest cell phone manufacturer in the world. It has been a favorite mobile phone brand of many in both the local and international market.

Several rumous are now beginning to circulate about the Chinese brand. Fans are curious about which smartphones will be available for purchase.

Since Xiaomi smartphones are economically priced smartphones, it is expected the Xiaomi mobile prices in Pakistan will remain low as compared to other smartphone brands in the Pakistani mobile market.

While the distribution process of these smartphone has not been finalized yet, Xiaomi is all set to introduce its Mi series smartphones in Pakistan as a part of its initial announcement. Slowly and gradually all the smartphones will be revealed to the Pakistani local mobile market.

A Comparison of Xiaomi Mobile Phones Specs and Features

The first three devices which are making a comeback are Xiaomi Mi Max, Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Note 4. All these smartphones have been already launched in other parts of the world, excluding Pakistan. Here is a comparison of all the three midrange Xiaomi mobile specs and features.

While all the three smartphones are mid-ranged smartphones, featuring genuine specs and functions, Xiaomi will keep the phones launched in Pakistan at an affordable price range. However, the official price of Xiaomi smartphones have not been finalized yet.

Xiaomi Mobiles Design and Display

All the three smartphones have a metal touch. Mi Max has the largest display screen of 6.44 inch while Mi 5 sports a screen size of 5.5 inch and Note 4 with a screen size of 5.5 inch. While all the three smartphones feature a full HD display, the difference in their screen resolution is quite apparent.

Xiaomi Mobile Camera and Storage

Xiaomi Note 4 has a 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.0, a downfall as compared to 16MP rear camera of Xiaomi Mi Max and Mi 5. All the devices have dual-LED flash and 1080p video. As for the front camera, both Mi Max and Note 4 have a 5MP camera while Mi 5 is equipped with a 4MP camera. Though, many Pakistani mobile users considers that only Samsung mobile phones in Pakistan have better camera results but with the launch of Xiaomi they will experience a camera capture in a different way!

Software and User Interface of Xiaomi Mobile

All the three Xiaomi smartphones run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Mi Max and Note 4 comes with top-of-the-line MIUI 8 user interface, but Mi 5 features an older user interface. MIUI 8 doesn’t bring much to the table, but features improved power saving mode, better text rendering, enhanced video editing and new apps. However, MIUI 7 gives a better overall performance than MIUI 8.

Xiaomi Processor and Performance

The Xiaomi Mi Max is powered on Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor which gives better performance as compared to high-end smartphones. Smooth performance with 3GB RAM gives enough room for multitasking. MediaTek Helio X20 chipset gives an impressive performance as compared to several premium quality phones with X25 chipset. The three Xiaomi Mi 5 variants run on Snapdragon 820 chipset which makes it one of the fastest cell phones in the market.

Xiaomi Mobiles Battery Life

Xiaomi Mi 5 features a high density battery of 3000mAh with fast charging which can last up to one whole day. Mi Max has an excellent battery life with a large 4850mAh non-removable battery while Note 4 is not far behind. It features a 4100mAh non-removable battery with quick charging.
