KARACHI – President Mamnoon Hussain said that efforts of Pakistan to curb the terrorism were bringing peace and stability to the region.
He was addressing the passing-out parade of cadets at Marine Academy in Karachi on Saturday. He also highlighted that Pakistan’s sea routes were generating new economic opportunities not only for the country but for the entire region, Radio Pakistan reported.
The President said that the completion of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will enhance Pakistan’s stature among the comity of nations.
He slammed all rumours about the change in western route of CPEC, stating that all segments of the society should play their role for successful implementation of the project.
Appreciating the sacrifices of the armed forces in the ongoing war on terror, the President said Pakistan’s efforts are bringing peace and stability to the region.
In another event, the President arrived at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam to inaugurate the newly installed chandelier gifted by China. He also placed floral wreaths and offered Fateha.
