LONDON – Pop singer George Michael, who delivered numerous hits as part of the the group Wham in the 1980s, and later as a solo artist, has died at the age of 53.
“It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period,” his publicist said in a statement.
Police said that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.-Agencies
