Pakistan offers assistance to quake-hit Nepal, India

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistani foreign office on Saturday expressed its solidarity to Nepal and India after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake jolted the whole region.

The spokesperson, in a statement issued to the media, said the Pakistani diplomats appointed in quake hit countries have been issued instructions in this regard.

Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is all set to send in the recue forces to the regional countries, it said.

Earlier a strong earthquake jolted the regions of Nepal, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Nepal’s interior ministry, country centre to the quake, has confirmed that at least 150 people have died so far as result of the calamity.
