Govt decides to appoint Muhammad Zubair as Sindh governor

ISLAMABAD – The federal government has decided to appoint Muhammad Zubair as Governor of Sindh, sources said.

After the demise of Justice (retd) Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui, the government considered various names for this key post, the sources said, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also has consulted with leaders of PML-N in this regard.

After the advice of the PM followed by an approval from President Mamnoon Hussain, a notification can be issued any time for the latest appointment.

It may be mentioned here that Muhammad Zubair is currently working as chairman of Privatization Commission. He is also brother of PTI leader Muhammad Umar Asad.
