Waqar Zaka files complaint against Facebook pages making fun of him

KARACHI – Prominent reality TV host Waqar Zaka has filed a complaint against pages on Facebook for allegedly using his pictures and videos without his consent.

In the video which was widely shared on Facebook and Twitter, unknown men can be seen speaking obscenities, slapping and dragging the TV host.

Waqar Zaka was reportedly taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
Speaking to media persons later, he confirmed the authenticity of the video.

“I was in a cafe for dinner at around 2am. I was alone and there was a group of eight to nine boys and girls. They started making my videos, to which I objected and asked how would they react if I did the same,” he said.

“This started the arguments. They asked me to come outside. When I walked out of the cafe, there were 10 to 12 security guards accompanying two men,” he said.

Zaka said it was a deliberate and pre-planned act.

“I went straight to Clifton police station and lodged an FIR like an ordinary citizen,” he said, adding that his hand was fractured.
