LAHORE – A girl was killed, allegedly by her brother, for marrying against the will of her family.
The incident occurred near Lower Mall Road, Lahore where outraged brother took extreme step after getting known about court marriage of his sister. The accused opened fire on the victim, Shazia, and killed her.
According to the police, the dead body has been shifted to the hospital for autopsy, while manhunt is underway.
Earlier, a young woman and her alleged lover committed suicide on Wednesday after jumping before a moving train within Sabzi Mandi Police limits in Gujranwala district of Punjab.
The victim (M) eloped with her lover (A) two days ago, family sources have told the police. On Wednesday, the couple, aging between 25 to 30 years, ended their lives in a very painful manner.
The woman was married to another man for over two years. She was living with her husband – a rickshaw driver – and her in-laws in Nawab Town.
