HAIDERABAD (Web Desk) – Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz Hussain and Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-ebaad Khan laid the foundation stone of Altaf Hussain University Haiderabad during a ceremony here on Friday.
Rupees 2 billion will be spent on university’s construction, said Malik while addressing the ceremony. The project will be completed with in coming 2 years, he promised.
“The design of the university building has been crafted by famous Pakistani architect Nayyer Ali Dada in accordance to the local culture of Haiderabad”, he quoted.
He announced that the highest building of Pakistan will also be built in Karachi very soon.
He said that more than 23,000 children were already getting education at Bahria Town run schools. Malik pledged to continue such projects of welfare.
Chairman Bahria Town expressed his wish to be remembered as ‘Welfare Tycoon’ rather a business tycoon during the address.
Governor Sindh thanked Malik Riaz for his much need gift to the people of Haiderabad in his address.
Many members of the parliament and Myttahida Qaumi Movement’s Rabita Committee were also present on the occasion.
Altaf Hussain, the head of MQM, also spoke at the ceremony via telephone expressing his gratitude to the Bahria Town Chairman.
