KARACHI (Web Desk) – Sindh Minister of Information, Sharjeel Memon on Monday said that the demand for declaring emergency in Sindh was imprudent and will not resolve any issues.
Talking to the media men before Sindh assembly’s session, Memon responded to the demand put forward by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), earlier today, for declaration of emergency across province.
He said that the country was entangled in terrorism on various fronts and the terrorists have not even spared educational institutions.
It is difficult to deploy police outside schools, but the process was underway, he told.
He further stated that the military courts have been established to counter terrorism while the law-enforcing agencies were fighting terrorism and capacity-building of the forces’ was also being boosted.
Terming Shikarpur incident as national tragedy, he ensured that the report would be submitted within a couple of days.
