LAHORE – As the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s ‘homecoming’ rally was being received by several hundred jubilant PML-N’s supporters on its arrival and countless rose petals were showered, an impassioned party worker had wads of money showered at supporters.
Talking to Daily Pakistan, the zealous supporter revealed that he has been showering money on the supporters throughout Sharif’s journey from Islamabad to Lahore via GT Road that started on August 9.
“This is nothing, I can sacrifice myself for Nawaz Sharif,” he added.
The ‘homecoming’ rally of Nawaz Sharif has reached Lahore’s Shahdara Chowk, where the ousted prime minister will address his supporters.
Data Darbar, which will be his final stop, was closed and reopened for the public ahead of Sharif’s arrival in his hometown.
