ISLAMABAD – The finance ministry has announced that salaries of government employees should be paid before Eidul Azha, 2017.
According to a statement, all the employees will get their salary deposits by August 28, and the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has also given a formal approval in this regard.
On Wednesday, the ministry of interior announced four-day holidays from September 1 to 4 to observe the festivity. All government offices will remain closed during the said period, a notification issued to this effect read.
A day earlier, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee had announced the beginning of the month of Zilhaj from August 24, with Eid falling on September 2.
