MUZZAFBAD – An inter-city cricket tournament started today (Tuesday) in Muzaffarabad, but what made this match so special was the fact that it was broadcast live from Azad Kashmir for first time in 70 years.
The tournament, which is being held under Jazz Rising Star, held a launching ceremony, which was attended by Jammu Kashmir Raja Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan as chief guest. Among other dignitaries, journalist Hamid Mir, Lahore Qalandar were present on the occasion.

An air of excitement is being observed in the stadium where a large number of cricket lovers have reached to watch the match.
There are two groups, A and B, in the tournament. In A group, teams Muzaffarabad, Rawalpinid, Sargodha and Gujranwala are included, while Bahawalpur, Layyah, Faisalabad and Lahore are in group B.
As per the schedule, Muzaffarabad and Rawalpindi teams of Pool-A faced off at the Muzaffarabad stadium in the first match, which has been won by Rawalpindi.
The second match between Sargodha and Gujranwala is underway.
After Muzaffarabad, Pool-B’s matches will start in Lahore from October 3.
However, the qualified teams will play the semi-final on October 6 and 7, while the final will be played on October 8 in Lahore.
