Top tennis player Sara clinches title of Pakistan s first female ITF Level-2 coach

KARACHI – Sara Mansoor, a leading national tennis player, has made history by becoming Pakistan’s first female International Tennis Federation (ITF) Level-2 coach of the country.

Pakistan Tennis Federation President Salim Saifullah Khan extended his congratulations to the top ranked player on clinching the title.

He says “I’m delighted that Sara Mansoor has achieved the coveted ITF certification. As the first Level 2 female coach in Pakistan, she has not only made history, the achievement will also provide an incentive to other women in the country to pursue what has now become a career of choice, internationally,” Dawn news reported.

Assuring PTF support for her, the president said that Sara is a role model for young girls willing to take part in sports.

Sara Mansoor, who started playing tennis at the age of 13, had also led the national women’s tennis team at the Asian Indoor Games held recently in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

In 2011, she along with Sarah Mahboob Khan, Ushan Suhai and Saba Aziz made history as Pakistan re-entered the Fed Cup competition after a decade of absence.
