No cyclone threat to Pakistan coastal areas: Met Office

KARACHI (APP) – Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre, Karachi of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Friday announced that presently, none of the coastal areas of Pakistan were under threat and the fishermen could continue their activities till issuance of a warning.

The Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre – Karachi has been monitoring the local and regional meteorological conditions.

A weather advisory, in case of any cyclonic development, will be issued accordingly, the Met Office said in its Cyclone Alert.

However, all stakeholders and authorities are advised to keep themselves abreast about weather advisories of PMD in the coming days.

In Arabian Sea, the broken clouds show an area of intense convection with a potential of development of a well-marked low pressure area over there which is now lying at a distance of 1575 kilometres South of Pakistan, it said.
