Ten injured in Jackobabad rail track blast, 4 train bogies derail

JACKOBABAD (Web Desk) – At least ten passengers were wounded as four coaches of Jaffer Express derailed after a blast ripped apart railway track in Jackobabad near district jail early Saturday morning.

Jaffer Express left Quetta and was headed to Punjab. Several passengers are reportedly injured in the accident. Emergency has been declared in nearby Civil Hospital. No fatality has thus far been reported in the blast.

The blast affected nearly 200-foot track, according to police sources.

Meantime, a suspicious sack was recovered from the rail track. Bomb disposal squad has been called in to check the sack.

Following the blast, police in large number and other people arrived at the spot.
