Everything you need to know about Naseemullah alias Naqeeb Mehsud

KARACHI- On January 12, a police encounter took place in Shah Latif Town of Karachi under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar. During this shoot-out, four alleged members of banned outfit Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed. Amongst these four alleged terrorists was 27-years-old Naseemullah, alias Naqeeb Mehsud.

Ever since his killing, disputed claims have emerged from his family that Naqeeb was abducted on 3rd January and his killing is extrajudicial.

According to his National Identity Card, his real name was Naseem Ullah, however, he was famous with the name of Naqeeb Mehsud.

 

Family

Mehsud was 27-years-old and father of three, according to his cousin Noor Ullah, he has left behind a wife, two daughters, and a two-year-old son, named as Atif.

Belonging

Mehsud belonged to the Fata and was a permanent resident of Makin, Hunar Khail, Tehsil Makoon, South Waziristan.

 

Occupation

According to Naqeeb’s cousin, he had been working at two steel mills and had just rented out a shop in Sohrab Goth to start a business in garments. Mehsud was passionate about modeling and wouldn’t let go of any chance to be in front of a camera.

The Sindh govt has formed a committee to look into the matter of the alleged extrajudicial killing of Naqeeb Mehsud.
