KARACHI (Web Desk) – Leader of MQM Aamir Khan was presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court and was sent to prison on judicial remand till the 25th June. Khan faces charges for harbouring criminals and providing them shelter.
During proceedings, Khan’s lawyer pleaded the court, that his client be granted a B-Class prison cell since he is a tax payer and has a Masters degree in political science, following which the court granted Aamir Khan a B-class prison cell.
Further, Khan had been detained by Rangers when the paramilitary force raided MQM’s headquarters nine-zero on March 11, 2015. In that raid, Rangers claimed to have arrested nearly half a dozen target killers including Faisal Mehmood alias Mota.
Others presented before the ATC included Farasat and Kamran; both have confessed to multiple murders and other heinous crimes during their 90-day detention by the Rangers paramilitary force.
