Whether you’re a fan of cricket or not, you must have come across the legend that is Shahid Afridi! The man who single handedly broke the record of the fastest century in ODI history and the beloved man who has led his country to countless and seemingly impossible victories.
And apparently he doesn’t just have fans in Pakistan because yesterday, fans of Afridi in the American city of Port Arthur in Texas, celebrated Shahid Afridi Day!

Afridi thanked the mayor of Port Arthur for this prestigious honour on his Instagram. He received this honour back in 2014 when the mayor of the city set the 5th of February as his day but Pakistanis only realized this fact this year.
However when they did, they were ecstatic!
