LAHORE – A local court has extended the judicial remand of a Czech national who was caught for drug smuggling last month, her lawyer confirmed on Wednesday.
Tereza Hluskova, 21, was produced before a court where judicial magistrate Zafar Farid Hashmi extended her judicial remand for another eight days (February 15).

Her counsel, Chaudhary Jawad Zafar told the court that the investigation was still in process, and the defence side “would not want to put pressure on Customs authorities for submitting the charge-sheet immediately”.
The Customs officials caught the model after she managed to clear through two Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) checking counters at the Lahore airport.

Shoaib Ahmed, the alleged facilitator of the detained girl had also been arrested by the customs official. Further investigation is underway.
