Asma Jahangir was a brave lady who not only motivated other females to stand up for their rights but also helped them to break free from the shackles of society’s conservative minds.

She was a social activist, a lawyer who co-founded and chaired the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan. For her bravery and great work she bagged awards like Hilal E Imtiaz, Martin Ennals award, four freedoms awards and many others.
Pakistan lost a brave life today and condolences were sent from across the borders.
