Zulfiqar Ali Khosa, son decide to leave PML-N

LAHORE – The ‘wickets’ of ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz continue to fall as senior politicians from southern Punjab have decided to leave the embattled party.

Former Governor Punjab, Zulfiqar Ali Khosa along with his son Dost Muhammed Khosa, who also served as the Chief Minister Punjab will announce their defection to the recently formed South Punjab Alliance in a press conference soon.

Moreover, ex-MPA’s Maqsood Laghari and Muhammed Khan Laghari will also join the alliance in days to come, according to media reports.

Earlier, in a devastating blow to the embattled Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, as many as 8 legislators had announced their decisions to leave the party to advocate the cause of South Punjab and demand a new province.

The deserted legislators claimed that South Punjab was being ignored, demanding – in one breath – that a new province was their ultimate objective.
