Four newly-born leopard cubs make public debut at Peshawar Zoo

PESHAWAR – A leopardess gave birth to four healthy cubs at the Peshawar Zoo, the administration announced on Monday.

The pair of leopards was brought to the zoo about three months ago from Hazara and Malakand regions of Pakistan.

Normally, leopardesses only reproduce three cubs. As of now, three pairs of common leopards reside within the zoo.

The Peshawar zoo is spread over an area of 24 acres and situated in Rahatabad area.

A total of three animals, including a 10 year old snow leopard who lost his life due to clogged arteries, have died since the zoo opened in February 2018.
