Jacqueline Fernandez honoured with PETA India s Digital Activism Award

Jacqueline Fernandez is the lucky recipient of PETA India’s Digital Activism Award in the honour of National Technology Day, which falls on the 11th of May. Jacqueline’s efforts online are what made her the ideal candidate for the award and she has urged fans to support many causes such as the #FreeGajraj campaign, which was to help free an elephant owned by a temple and had been in chains for more than 50 years.

According to Sachin Bangera, who is the Associate Director of Celebrity and Public Relations of PETA India, “Animals in need have a strong ally in Jacqueline Fernandez. PETA India is thrilled to recognise her use of social media for powerful animal rights activism and looks forward to standing beside her as she continues to blaze a better trail for animals.”
