Five killed, six wounded over animal sacrifice dispute in Mardan

MARDAN – At least five people were killed in a firing incident as a result of a dispute pertaining to sacrificing animals in Mardan, a district of KP province, police said on Wednesday.

The incident took place in Toru village on the day of Eidul Azha and result of which, six were also injured, two of them are said to be the critical condition, police informed.

Both parties are relatives of one another. They lost two of their members in the firing, while a passerby was also killed in the exchange of fire.

The wounded were shifted to hospitals in Mardan and Peshawar.
