KARACHI – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) bigwig Shehla Raza suffered minor injury during a car accident on Friday in Karachi.
According to local media, Raza, who is a member of Sindh Provincial Assembly, met the road mishap on Shahra-e-Faisal when she was going to her office.
The lawmaker, fortunately, remained safe and received a minor injury near her eye.
In November 2005, Shehla Raza’s children died after the taxi (her family was traveling in) fell into an open 28 ft deep sewage drain containing toxic waste on Abul Hasan Ispahani Road.
Road accidents are common in Pakistan as several people lost their lives on a daily basis in the country.
In Karachi alone, thousands of lives died yearly in the accidents. Overspeeding and violation of other traffic rules are major causes behind such accidents.
