ISLAMABAD – President Arif Alvi called President of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif on Monday to condole the sad demise of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who breathed her last following an year-long battle with cancer in London.
President Alvi prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the departed soul and to grant courage to the family to bear the loss.

Earlier, former premier Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (r) Muhammad Safdar were shifted to Adiala jail after the five-day parole granted to them to attend Begum Kulsoom’s funeral ended today at 4 pm.
