Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson reportedly call off engagement

LOS ANGELES – According to reports, Ariana Grande and Davidson have decided to call off their engagement and break up (via TMZ). As reported by the People publication, a source close to Grande allegedly revealed that the relationship was “way too much too soon,” adding that the split is apparently “not shocking to anyone.” Apart from all of their millions of fans, including me, that is.

Grande first met Davidson back in 2016 when she was a musical guest on Saturday Night Live. However, the pair only starting dating earlier this year, after both had ended their respective relationships.

News of Grande and Davidson’s fledgling relationship broke at the end of May 2018, when the Saturday Night Live star was spotted backstage at the Billboard Music Awards.

Ariana confirmed that she’s gotten engaged to Davidson at the start of June, by replying to her fans on Twitter who’d been congratulating her about the relationship rumors.

At the time, a source even told People that, “It’s a recent engagement. They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time. They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding.”

Ariana had even teased that her wedding to the comedian would be taking place fairly soon. However, the “God Is a Woman” singer faced a lot of heartaches when her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller passed away at the start of September 2018.

Earlier this year, Ariana also spoke of the anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder she’s experienced since the terror attack at her show in Manchester last year, which took the lives of 22 people.

This was also something she addressed on her latest album, most notably on tracks like ‘Breathin’ and ‘Get Well Soon’.
