Do you know how many total e-challans issued so far? the numbers will shock you

LAHORE – The Electronic Ticketing Center (ETC) of Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) since the inception of Electronic Challenging on September 23, has issued 75,000 e-challans which ensured a deposit of more than Rs.7 million to the national exchequer so far.

The receipts of e-challan permitted throughout the province as 595 e-challans were reportedly paid via BOP branches operating in cities such as Multan, Layyah, Lodhran, Sahiwal and Gujranwala.

The PSCA was about to derive a solution to facilitate general public so that people would be able to check the e-challan status of their vehicles online through PSCA’s website (PSCA.GOP.PK) by giving in their CNIC and vehicle registration numbers, official sources said.

The PSCA has also forwarded the record of more than 8,000 vehicles to excise and taxation department to correct their ownership and address records. To counter the lapse of non-payment on part of the violators it was under consideration to ban entry of motorcyclists, who do not pay e-challan fines, on certain roads.

Similarly, the defaulting vehicle owners would be blacklisted and action would be taken immediately as soon as such vehicle was spotted through the cams and ground teams.
