LAHORE – A container got stuck in the Jail Road underpass, triggering massive traffic jams on main Canal Road and adjacent areas on Tuesday.
The container, which was loaded with cosmetics, slipped off from the carrier vehicle and got stuck in the underpass on Monday night.
Following the accident, the rescue teams are making efforts to move the container away in order to restore the traffic flow on the major road in Lahore.
Commuters are unable to pass through the underpass due to the overturned container. There is traffic mess on the adjacent Ferozpur Road, Muslim Town and other.
In July this year, a container got stuck in Chakar-e-Azam Underpass, severely affecting the flow of traffic from Jinnah Hospital to Ferozepur Road.
As per the details, the container, traveling from Harbanspura to Thokar Niaz Baig, collided and got stuck in the underpass while ignoring the maximum height warning.
