KP university bars male, female students from sitting together in library

PESHAWAR – Administration of Khushal Khan Khattan Universiy, Karak, has barred male and female students from sitting together in the library.

The varsity has issued a notification imposing a ban. It states that the mixed sitting creates disturbance in the study environment of the library.

Some male and female students do not follow the instructions pertaining to observing silence in the study area when they sit together, it added.

The administration warned that strict action will be taken against the students on violating the rules.

Earlier this year, Bahria University Karachi campus came under fire on social media for ordering its male and female students to “maintain a distance of at least 06 inches while sitting or standing together”.

According to media reports, a notification issued by the Director Karachi campus of Bahria University asked its students to strictly follow the dress code.

The university ordered the students of opposite gender to keep a distance as “touching of males and females is forbidden”.
