Shehzad Roy, Faisal Qureshi pair up for remake of 60s hit drama Alif Noon

KARACHI – Pakistani TV shows are a must watch and loved infinitely by the audience since the beginning of the national television.

The latest trend is being arisen in which the Pakistani artists are playing their part in recreating new versions of old content that have struck the right chord with the audience, bringing back memories of the original, especially for the younger crowd.

Popular singer of Pakistan Shehzad Roy has shared a good news with all his followers in a tweet regarding his debut as an actor in an upcoming movie Alif Noon. Below is the tweet by the star:

The film will star Shehzad Roy as Allan and Faisal Qureshi as Nanha, the film will also be written and directed by Faisal Qureshi himself.

Alif Noon’s latest rendition would be a thought-provoking, satirical action comedy which will portray Allan and Nanha in present times, dealing with the advances and challenges of modern society.

This all-time hit drama was featured on PTV and revolved around two characters  Kamal Ahmed Rizvi as Allan and Rafi Khawar as Nanha. Each episode showed how Allan, focused on tricking people to get rich, using the gullible Nanha as his frontman, and how he was exposed every time, because of Nanha’s same gullibility.
