Altaf Hussain suspends MQM Rabita Committee in Karachi

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has dissolved the Rabita Committee in Karachi.

According to a statement posted on the party’s website, the Karachi committee has been suspended over the members’  inability to fulfill their responsibilities and mismanagement in the committee.

However, Kaiful Wara, Abdul Haseeb and Arif Khan will remain members of the committee, the statement on MQM website said.

According to the statement, the MQM chief has requested members of the Rabita Committee to refrain from visiting party headquarters, Nine Zero. Adding, decision regarding Rabita Committee, London will be made within the next two days.

In the statement, Hussain also asked senior leaders of the party to submit proposals to the party headquarters today for reconstitution of the committee.
