ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said the government believed in free and independent media which can play crucial role to make the country progress and development.
The prime minister said that print media has played an important role in strengthening democracy, adding that the government would extend all possible assistance and support for the promotion and development of free and vibrant media.
The prime minister hoped that the elected body will make efforts for the betterment of print media industry and people associated with it.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb also congratulated the newly elected office bearers of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS).
