ISLAMABAD – Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb Wednesday rebutted media reports that claimed that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif gifted a horse to the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani through a special aircraft.
The minister said the reports were completely baseless and were based on a fabricated story.
She said that the Qatari Emir was supposed to be gifted a horse on his expected arrival a few months ago but he couldn’t make it to Pakistan, adding that no horse was sent to the Emir.
She vehemently denied all the reports and held that such rumours were tarnishing national integrity and moral uprightness.
Earlier, spokesman for the Pakistan Air Force also denied the report, saying PAF plane was not used for sending the horse to Qatar.
