JIT begins probe into Imran Farooq’s murder case

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A joint investigation team headed by Director of Federal Investigation Agency Inam Ghani has started interrogating two suspects – Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shamim – in connection with Imran Farooq murder case on Wednesday.

Prime suspect Moazzam Ali has been also shifted from Karachi to Islamabad. He has been accused of having arranged visas and tickets for the two key suspectsMohsin Ali Syed and Mohammad Kashif Khan Kamran.

Imran Farooq, 50, the founding member of the MQM, was stabbed and beaten to death in Edgware in London, as he returned home from work in September 2010.

Farooq had claimed asylum in UK in 1999. He was wanted in Pakistan over scores of charges but he always claimed the accusations were politically motivated.
