US music legend Cher helps free the elephant that Islamabad zoo kept in chains

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Musical icon Cher, who had recently sent a representative to Pakistan to help improve the miserable living conditions of an elephant in Islamabad Zoo, has expressed her joy at seeing giant mammal out of its chains.

The American star first learnt of 29-year-old Kavaan’s plight when pictures emerged online showing the elephant in chains and with nothing more than a dilapidated shed for shelter.

Cher took up the cause and pushed Maraghazar Zoo authorities to unchain the elephant. The ecstatic star even tweeted pictures of Kavaan in his new environment.
