QUETTA – Unidentified assailants have killed five construction labourers near Ganz neighbourhood of Jewani, in Gwadar district.
The incident happened on Wednesday when the deceased persons, identified as Naeem Ahmed, Hunzullah, Irshad Ali and Muhammad Shakir, were working at an under-construction house in a private housing scheme.
The attackers, who were riding motorcycles appeared on the scene and opened fire on workers, leaving five dead and three others injured.
The killed workers belong to Karachi, Hyderabad and Multan.
The bodies of the victims will be sent to their areas after medico-legal and other formalities are completed.
No militant group has claimed responsibility for the latest killings so far.
This is the fourth incident of its kind in the Makran area. More than three dozens workers were shot dead in earlier attacks which took place in different areas of Turbat and Gwadar districts.
