NEW YORK- Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, last week found themselves in a whirlwind of ‘made-up’ news as one magazine wrote that the lovebirds are heading towards divorce after just 117 days of marriage. The news, of course, came as a shock to the Mr. and Mrs. Jonas ’ fans, leaving them dumbfounded. Regarding this very misleading claim, Gossip Cop reached out to Chopra’s rep to get the truth behind the report and revealed that the magazine’s story is ‘nonsense’!
Nickyanka, as they are called by fans, were happily enjoying their holiday in Miami when the story broke out.
A source close to the ‘Quantico’ star has trashed the report, saying, “These are all cooked-up stories just to create an unnecessary stir and sell copies. Priyanka and Nick are happily married, but it’s saddening to see how people are targeting the couple ever since they tied the knot. And if it was an April Fool’s prank, it was a terrible one for sure.”
The magazine reported that the couple often fights and are going through a rough patch. The story also reported that Nick’s family members have raised concern about Chopra’s lifestyle and behavior.
The OK! magazine’s slanderous article was thrashed by Priyanka’s fans on social media. The fans were furious with the magazine as, apart from stating false claims about the couple’s marriage, the magazine targeted Priyanka and showed her in a bad light.
This won’t be the first time a US magazine has victimized Priyanka. Last year just days after their marriage, New York Magazine published The Cut article calling Priyanka Chopra a ‘global scam artist.’ After facing a backlash, the magazine had to take down the article.
Priyanka got married to her Nick Jonas in a lavish ceremony in Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan Palace on December 4th. They were married according to both Christian and Hindu rituals. The couple later hosted two grand wedding receptions, one in Delhi at Taj Ends and the other one in Mumbai.
