LAHORE – ‘Women on Wheels’, Government of Punjab’s ‘Subsidized Motorcycle Scheme for Women’ is the latest initiative taken by Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif to help the women establish gender equality and take back control of the much needed public spaces.
The initiative has been collaborated with the Transport Department and the Bank of Punjab.

“The Chief Minister initiated this plan to give the power of mobility to women of Punjab so that they can be true partners in progress and development of the province,” said Mr. Salman Rafi (Director-General of the Strategic Reforms Unit”.

The program was initially introduced by SRU with City Traffic and District Governments in November 2015. The program has trained up till 3000 women now.
