According to reports, the air-hostess was allegedly stealing items from a departmental store in Toronto.
A PIA spokesman confirmed that police had arrested the airliner’s stewardess on charges of theft with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the store.
The staff member had reached Toronto from Lahore via flight PK-797 and was scheduled to return to the Pakistani city of Karachi via flight PK-784.
She will be produced before a court in Toronto on Monday (today) and Canadian authorities are expected to also investigate the captain of the flight over the incident.
