Pakistan will play in India only if infallible security is guaranteed: Chaudhry Nisar

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Federal Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar on Wednesday expressed concerns on security threats to Pakistan cricket team in India ahead of World T20.

He said that the team will only be allowed to play in India if foolproof security is guaranteed, Dunya News reported.

A cricket match between Pakistan and India is scheduled to be played in Dharamshala on March 19 and only yesterday, Indian cricket board chairman Shashank Manohar had phoned his Pakistani counterpart and assured foolproof security in the mega event.

Earlier, Indian state Himanchal Pradesh government had refused to host India-Pakistan cricket match. Chief Minister of the said state Bahadura Singh had stated while talking to the media that he has told the ministry of interior that they can’t provide adequate security to the Pakistan team.

The World T20 matches start March 8.
