GWADAR – Saudi Arabia’s high-level trade delegation visited the port city of Balochistan, Gwadar and reviewed development on ongoing CPEC projects.
The delegation during the visit was briefed over the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Free-Economic Zone projects by Chairman Gawadar Port authority.
The delegation was also briefed about future visions and developmental projects.
The CEO of Chinese overseas port authority also shared details of ongoing Chinese projects in the region.
It is worth mentioning here that the Saudi Kingdom would build the world’s biggest oil refinery in Gwadar, moreover, the delegation also showed its interest in developing road and railways networks in the Port city.
A Saudi delegation led by Ahmed Hamed Al-Ghamdi, Adviser to the Saudi Minister for Energy arrived in Islamabad on a five-day tour on Sunday with an aim to find investment opportunities in Pakistan.

The Saudi delegation also held technical-level talks to review the possibility for investment in Reko Diq gold and copper mines.
The visit of the Gulf country’s officials came after Prime Minister Imran Khan paid his first official visit to Saudi Arabia to meet the rulers of the state.

Earlier this week, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had signed “three grant agreements” to bring major investment in the country after the former invited the country to become the third partner in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) plan.
