Terror Threats: Parks in Lahore will stay closed on weekend evenings

LAHORE (Staff Report) – The provincial government on Sunday has ordered to close all the parks at 6pm on Saturday and Sunday in Lahore to avoid any further mishap.

According to a Private News channel, the Punjab government has issued directives to shut down the parks in the evening while local district administration has also shut down unauthorised Sunday markets in Gulshan Ravi and Iqbal Town and enhanced the security of the area.

Several search operations were conducted to eliminate the metropolis from terrorists and other criminals in which dozens of suspects were taken into custody.

It is pertinent to mention here that on March 27 at least 76 people were killed and hundreds injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up in Lahore’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park.
