Indian security forces gun down 3 more civilians in occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR (Web Desk) – Indian security troops and police gunned down three more people in Kashmir and increased the military personnel in the area on Wednesday.

Agencies continued to impose curfew and restrictions on the people of Kashmir for the 27th consecutive day in occupied Kashmir.

Masses were not permitted to come outside their households and due to protests earlier the curfew was extended to most sections of the valley.

Hurriyat leaders had predicted for the protest march on Friday against the ongoing atrocities by the Indian security forces and bloodletting in Kashmir and also appealed to continue the shutdown till August 5.

Thus far, more than 60 civilians, mostly teens and young adult males, have been martyred as Indian forces fired ammunition and pellets at unarmed civilians.

Approximately 2,000 civilians have also been wounded in the brushes.

Protests in Kashmir erupted after Indian security forces shot dead Burhan Wani, a freedom fighter. Ever since then, Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir have taken more than 50 lives and wounded approximately 5,000 people.
