NEW DELHI (Web Desk) – At least ten Indian Army personnel were trapped under snow in the early hours on Wednesday after an avalanche in Northern Siachen, Indian media reported.
A rescue operation has been launched by the Army to save the soldiers. “The incident took place on Wednesday morning when 10 soldiers deployed in Siachen got trapped in avalanche.
The operation is underway to rescue the soldiers,” Army’s Northern Command told The Indian Express.
One JCO and 9 other ranks of Indian Army came under the avalanche, he said.
