After Anam Tanoli s death, Arfi Alvi calls for 24/7 helpline to address mental health issues

LAHORE- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s presidential candidate Arif Alvi called for a 24/7 helpline to address mental health issues. He highlighted the dire need of such helpline after the tragic death of 26-year-model Anam Naveed Tanoli, who committed suicide after battling with depression.

Mr Alvi raised the issue on Twitter and shared the following statement:

“Millions of people especially women under different socio-economic pressures face depression and some commit suicide. Psychiatric help should be readily available including a 24/7 helpline,”

Twitteratis welcomed the new initiative.
