There is no doubt that Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are two of the most sought after stars in Bollywood. The duo, which has not been seen on the silver screen together since the 2011 Sci-Fi movie, Ra One, are rumoured to be getting together once more for a biopic.
According to Filmfare, the movie has not yet been confirmed, however the film will be based on the real life story of Rakesh Sharma, who was the first Indian to travel into space. Sharma, an Indian Air Force pilot was selected to go out into space in 1982 as part of a research program.
Directed by Mahesh Mathai, the film is titled ‘Salute’ and is set to be released by the 18th of September this year. According to some sources,SRK will finish his shoot for Aanand L Rai’s Zero before tackling this project hence the uncertainty.
There were some reports that Aamir Khan was set to take on this role, however, due to certain ‘creative differences with the film’s crew he declined the offer.
