QUETTA – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa is to reach Balochistan on a two-day visit where he will meet local tribal elders during his two-day visit to Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.
During his visit, the army chief will also examine the ‘Khushhal Balochistan’ project and security in Gwadar and Turbat, according to the military’s media wing.
During a visit to the province last year, General Bajwa had said that Pakistan is incomplete without Balochistan. Interacting with the youth of the province, he had said that the country cannot progress without peace and stability in Balochistan.
Earlier this week, the COAS visited Karachi Corps HQ and Malir Garrison where he was given update on security situation of the province especially Karachi and operational preparedness of the Corps.
Gen Bajwa hailed performance of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) in maintaining improved security in the metropolitan, saying that peace in national economic hub Karachi is vital for security and stability of Pakistan.
