MAKKAH – Three Pakistani pilgrims have died and one critically injured in a road accident in Saudi Arabia.
Four Pakistani pilgrims were en route to Madinah from Makkah when their vehicle overturned.
The dead have been identified as Ali and Imran from Karachi and Rizwan Memon from Sukkur; while the injured was identified as Salman Memon.
Bodies and the injured pilgrim were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Rizwan Memon’s brother alleged that the Pakistani embassy in Saudi Arabia was not cooperating with them to bring back the bodies.
Moreover, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony as many as 64 Pakistani Hujjaj including 16 female and 48 male died during their stay in Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj.
