LAHORE – Ada Hegerberg Hegerberg helped Lyon to the French title and Champions League, scoring in the final, pipped Denmark’s Pernille Harder to the prize.
At Balon d’Or Ceremony, in an unexpected act, 23-year-old Hegerberg was asked to twerk live on stage by DJ and presenter Martin Solveig. According to NBC News, the French host embarrassed the Lyon footballer in front of the crowd by asking her if she knows how to do the dance.
The talented lady went on to deliver an impactful speech after saying no to any kind of twerking request.
Martin seems to be apologetic after realising his words have sparked complete outrage.

“Its a huge step for women’s football and together we will make a difference”, said Ada.
She went on to thank her family and French football for crowning her as the best. Ending her speech, she had an important message for all the young girls out there.
“I would like to end my speech with some words for young girls all over the world. Please, believe in yourself.”
